Hi my name is Ben Lindesmith and I founded Zanzibar! Media in 2003 to create compelling stories in unique ways and I love what I do! Everyday is a new opportunity to discover something new about what drives people.
- As a creator I've worked on feature films, reality TV, broadcast commercial, music video and hundreds of branded content pieces.

I was named after Bob Dylan — a detail that’s always meant something to me. Years later, I named my daughter Edie, a quiet nod to Edie Sedgwick, one of Dylan’s muses.
In 2011, I moved to New York and found a tiny apartment just behind the Chelsea Hotel — the same building that once housed Warhol, Dylan, and Edie herself. That place became the backdrop to my start in photography.
I cut my teeth shooting underground shows and soon found myself working with NPR, VICE, with work featured in Rolling Stone, Esquire, and in Times Square.
Now full time in Austin, I’d like to bring the same artistic eye that shaped my work in New York to everything I shoot, from weddings and portraits to food, music, and commercial projects. I’ve photographed for brands like Apple, Google, and SXSW, with a portfolio that blends raw storytelling with polished execution. Whether it’s a quiet moment or a loud one, I aim to capture something honest, unexpected, and a little bit rare.

Producer/editor, author, photographer, and camera operator living and working in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I have 12 years of experience as a professional writer with 5 years experience in video production.
- I collaborate with clients to produce scripts and craft questions to obtain quality footage and sound bites for videos and case studies. I then craft a narrative and edit the footage to create compelling stories which amplify my clients’ sales efforts and showcase their products.
- My film credits include true crime documentaries, scripted series, reality TV, and music video production.
- I got my start as a freelance journalist and copywriter. I’ve written hundreds of client blogs and SEO enhanced copy for websites, social posts, and more!

He even helped me with the audio settings. I was worried a lot about how the video would be shot , but he seemed to know everything, eg - placing the camera at the right angle etc which is what I expect from a professional . He completely took care of the job which made my life a lot more easier since I did not have the bandwidth to supervise/communicate anything.
Dylan is a PHENOMENAL photographer. Forget just having a great eye (which is obvious from his Instagram and Facebook), he has the only thing that can top it...DIVERSITY. He can go from shooting food porn for a high-class restaurant, to capturing the perfect mix of grunge,sweat, and dedication from a live band at a local music festival. That’s not to mention the beautiful WEDDING photos he brings to life with his incredible unique perspective. My partner and I are beyond excited to have him as our engagement/wedding photographer! We cannot wait to see the beauty he brings out of our once-in-a-lifetime moments. The only thing better...meeting him in person is even more awesome than just knowing him through his photos. ????
